The Power of the 4 P's ( Positive, Persistent, Patient, & Pray) # 1

This keeps me going...I know it's in reach and it's the next step for me...Well... one of the many next steps for me and with the power of the 4 P's ..i know i will have one for myself soon!.. Congrats Vido Lets get it!!

Hello World Hip-Hop News

Rick Ross Exposed?

We reported last week that Rick Ross denied claims that he used to work as a correctional officer back in 1995, saying the picture that surfaced had been photoshopped.
Over the weekend, the following picture surfaced on the internet, showing a younger William Robert aka Rick Ross.

Today, TheSmokingGun.com revealed that Florida Department of Corrections (DoC) records show that Ross did in fact work as a correctional officer for 18 months.

Here's a portion of the article published on TheSmokingGun:

Ross (real name: William Leonard Roberts) was appointed a prison guard in December 1995 at a salary of $22,913.54, according to the below personnel record, which was provided to TSG by Jo Ellyn Rackleff, a DoC spokesperson. The rapper's social security number is identical to that of the jail guard. According to the official document, Ross was earning $25,794.34 when he left the department in June 1997. After graduating from the DoC training academy, Ross was assigned to the South Florida Reception Center in Dade County (the lockup is one of three statewide that serves as an intake facility for new prisoners). When a photo of a uniform-clad Ross surfaced last week on MediaTakeOut.com, the 32-year-old performer claimed that unnamed "online hackers" put "my face when I was a teenager in high school on other peoples' body. If this shit was real don't you think they would have more specifics, like dates and everything?" He added, "Fake pictures are created by the fake, meant to entertain the fake." The photo, which you can find here, shows a 19-year-old Ross at a DoC ceremony (he was part of the department's 60th graduating class). He is pictured shaking hands with Marta Villacorta, who then headed the South Florida Reception Center. Villacorta, now the department's South Florida regional director, was identified by Rackleff, who examined the photo Ross claims was Photoshopped. In a recent videotaped interview, Ross replied, "No, that's not true" when asked if he had worked as a prison guard. He claimed that the phony story was being circulated by detractors upset by his success in the rap world, where, "I came out of nowhere and just took over the streets

Check My Foot Work # 1 "MY TIGGER UPPERKUTS"

Ok So... Last week i was in NYC all week recording and I decide that once i got my service money i would do a lil shopping down town before i went home..So i did and i found these Krazy Orange&Black kickz and i had to cop 'em. I told the dude size 10 in these, grabbed the box and jumped in line so i could pay and bounce so i wouldn't miss my train going back to Jersey. When i made it home around 11:30pm i had another session and i was soo "Joe" to show off my new kickz that i opened them up to try them on and thats when i found out that ******* (shocking music) that M.FFFer put 2 different sizes in my freaking box...1 size 10 and 1 size 12.... i couldn't believe it....Lucky for me i was going back to NYC the next day for something that i will be blogging about later...To bad for him cuz when i get there i will be upper cutting someone in the shoe department... period ( Angry Black Male Voice)..lol....
The Next Day I went back, the dude wasn't there but, they fixed the problem plus give me a free shirt so i wouldn't have to upper cut anyone, lucky for them. Once on the train i open the box just to make sure everything was there and the sizes were right ....i stared @ my new Orange&Black krazy kickz i decide to name them..."My Tigger UpperKuts"!!!...TIGGER!!!!

(S.S.S) Studio Session Stories # 2 "Monkey See Monkey Do"

Ok so I decided that I will never record any more freestyle's over the Lil Wayne's "A Millie" beat ever again in my life..

Reason1:

A million people done freestyle over this freaking A Millie track in less then a million hours..and i've heard them a million times.... Now don't get me wrong, the beat is real crazy...Props to Bangladesh but Dam People everybody can't sound good on this track..i've heard everyone from Chris Brown to Lil Mama... even JayZ had to jump on it...dam Jay...but at least he was smart enough to change it to A Billi..thats was funny.....O and i can't forget the Ne-yo Diss Video coming at Chris Brown..Over the A millie track(YouTubeIt) .When R&B artist start battling that's when i have to throw in the white towel and say enough is enough people ..Get back to making your metrohomo/girl records kool...thanks

Reason 2:

I also think this track probably has the most freestyles since..let me think...Busta Rhymes Touch it?...no..mmmm..maybe G Dep's Special Delivery ....nnn.nooo...but that was a freestyle favorite.....i got it....The Clipes "Grindin" produced by the Neptunes...YEA!!! I remember pulling in my driveway when i 1st heard Grindin...and i just remember saying to myself...God Dam...do you hear them drums!!!!!....what is that?.... trash cans?....yea it has to be trash cans.......Later i found out that it was just a simple Drum kit on the Motif 6.. but after it dropped every rapper alive spit over that dam track...and a month later it wack..remember that shit?....if you feel different...let me know which Hip-Hop beat has the most freestyles on it... My Pick is "Grindin" With Runner Up being A Millie..A Millie..A Millie..A Millie..A Millie..A Millie..A Millie..A Millie..A Millie..A Millie..A Millie..A Millie..A Millie..A Millie..A Millie..A Millie..A Millie..A Millie..A Millie..A Millie..A Millie..A Millie..A Millie..A Millie..A Millie..A Millie..A Millie..A Millie..A Millie..A Millie..A Millie..A Millie..A Millie..A Millie..A Millie..A Millie..A Millie..A Millie..A Millie..A Millie..A Millie..A Millie..A Millie...you get the point .

(S.S.S) Studio Session Stories # 1 The Vent..woosaa

Ok so most of you know that i produce and that i have a studio in the crib so...since i spend pretty much my WHOLE life in here i decide to start something called The "S.S.S" Studio Session Stories, for those people who have no clue on what goes on in a real studio session, 1st off a recording session can last from 3 to 5 hours and it takes a lot out of me, Let me explain.. certain artists come in ready and then theirs other artists that really have no clue what they're doing, and just a waste of time and then leave it up to me to make them hot...right..lol .I'm a musician not a magician....

STORY #1
I HATE HATE HATE SLOW..LONG ASS RECORDING SESSION!!!! Listen is it really asking to much for you to come to the studio ready to work?..Do you have your beat cd or whatever music for me to import in Protools ..No...lol....Are the lyrics together so you can go in and get out..Of course not. I get real hated @ some artists because they simply don't look at this as a career but as a hobby......NOTE: to ARTIST ("That will always keep them one step behind everyone else" )...what makes you think you can write a song 10 mins before you come to the studio and think that it'll be hit record. Then get mad when it turns out wack...?!?! lol...what?!?...Or i love ones..lol..that come with a 3 vers done but no hook and then want me to write the hook..(note: the hook is the most important part of the song..so why of earth wouldn't you write that 1st!!)**** Double Note: i'm not talking about any artists in general i'm just venting about every artist that don't have a freaking clue,****... I love the artist that cant count 16bars...O my Lord..lol.listen it's 4 beats to every bar..soo if you just oooo forget it..i cant help you count shit..lol..but the NUMBER 1 thing i hate about recording artist are that ..95% of them have No idea what to do after the music is done...so once the whole album is complete then what!!! YOU WANT TO CUT ANOTHER ALBUM?!?...lol... I think imma stop here cuz i can't keep going on and on..plus my session just walked in..lol...here we go.....wish me luck!!...
..Stay tune for some funny ass stories....lol

Ablum Spotlight "Nigger" Nas

This album is crazy hot.....Period! end of story....

Hello World HipHop News " Albums Sells"

Hip-Hop Album Sales: Weezy Still #2, Three 6 Mafia and more

Same scenario as last week: Coldplay's "Viva La Vida" is the #1 album while Lil Wayne didn't give up his second place. Weezy's "Carter III" moved 209,305 copies and already reaching 1,525,516 total sales, double platinum status coming before the end of the year...Three 6 Mafia's "Last 2 Walk" enjoyed a strong debut (#5,) selling 76,909 albums, the second best entry.Plies is still doing solid numbers for his 3rd week on the charts: 42,893 and a total of 325,472.First week sales:Dwele: 14,008Immortal Technique: 7,473RZA as Bobby Digital: 6,723

50 Cent Says 'You So Tough' Not Directed At T.I.

"Nowadays this rap s**t ain't adding up/How n**gers get caught with 10 machine guns, only get 12 months?"Many people think G-Unit's "You So Tough" is directed at T.I., 50 Cent said otherwise. He tells MTV.com, "It's like 'CSI': You use real-life situations to create something that's entertaining without being specific.""When have you known me to be indirect with an issue? If I had a problem with any artist, trust me, they would know."

Spider Loc "Chillax" Ft Mel Produced by Versatile&Dilemma

This Music Thing is so crazy at times you never know who will just pop up and reach out to you.....

Spider Loc is an artist on G-Unit. He just dropped his mixtape untitled " Da 1 U Love 2 Hate" and Versatile and I produced and track on there untitled "Chillax". One afternoon out of the "blue" i get an email from Spider Loc saying " Yo Dilemma its Loc from the Unit Call Me Asap ###-###-#####"....So at 1st i really thought it was joke but i said "what the heck" , i called him and he told him that he recorded to one of my tracks and he wanted to know if he could use it for his mixtape/album. (
now normally when this happens most artist never reach out to the producers to let them know and then the producers just end up hearing it on a mixtape months later so since he did reach out to me, i respect that) I asked him which track? and he told me the track was called Stand Up. I started to laugh cuz i thought to myself "that's crazy" Versatile and I did that track a while ago when we were trying to get on any G-unit project when 50,Banks,and Buck were all working on their 2nd albums. Since he had already record to it, there isn't much i can say or do other then ask if he could email me the song so i could hear it. When i hear it i was like....Shit this is Ass!..lol...and it didn't have a hook or 3rd vers...so i called him back and of course lied saying that i like it...i told him it migh need a 3rd vers and i'll write a hook to it and he was cool with that as long as the hook had the word "Chillax" in it. So one day i was in a session with this real talented singer from my town...Mel... and i told him what i had wrote and he jumpped in the booth and laid it down -One take Hov style! When Mel is focused he's a problem man.He killed it and I sent it back to Loc and he Loved it!!...So a few weeks later, Loc recut his vocals over and added a 3rd vers and it sounded 10x better then the 1st time i heard it.... So the song "Chillax" was born!! hope you enjoy!..

P.S I still don't know how on earth he got the track in the 1st place..... Maybe someone at the G-Unit office.... who knows!?!?

Ablum Spotlight " Tha Carter 3" Lil Wayne

OK so the album sold a million plus in it's 1st week....Congrats to Lil Wayne and his Marketing Camp....but just because a albums sells alot doesn't mean its a Great Album It just means that a lot of people copped...I was a lil disappointed in the album to be honest and no I'm not hating on wayne because i was really looking foward to the album. Tha Carter 3 was more Swag over Content. And to hear certain big name Radio Dj's call it a classic?!?! What?!? Listen, a classic album is an album you can just play from of start to finish period ...and I found myself skipping more songs then i thought i would....on a scale of 1-10 i give it a 7.8!

Carter 1 is still my favorite album from him and just a better whole complete album and if the million plus can't see or hear that then maybe hiphop is dead...

Total Breakdown of the Album:

3peat- He's Rapping all over the place..one line is About this and next line is about that....until he started talking about " When i 14..." 2mins into the song, so until then...?!?!? what the hell are you talking about?!?! the Beat saved the song...

Mr Carter- Just Blaze and Jayz...Very Good Song ... Should've been the 1st song

A Milli- (THE SUPER SWAG SONG OF THE YR) This track is like the new Cute Light-Skin Girl that just moved in your town....Everyone wanna taste..feel me?...This was the fastest song i liked then 2 days later hated it...No more Freestyle over this beat please....

Got Money- ASS(Skip)....if you gonna make a Money song make it better then the Last 35 Money songs we just heard on the radio.....Tick Tick...

Comfortable- Another Good Song...Babyface on the hook.....nice beat...

Dr.Carter- Nice Idea...sounds a lil like what Vers And I did at the start of PostaBoy Album...I like this song...or i just might like the beat better

Phone Home- Cool and Dre Really Good Try...probably wont listen to it again..but you had me for a second.....Do the Wezzy We?...how bout no!

Tie my Hands- Nice Switch up but i personally dont like Robin "Maxwell Swag" Thicke Wayne went in..good job wayne

Mrs. Officer- Ass...the hook killed it for me...sorry

Let the Beat Build- Ass Period who was in the studio and said that this was hot

Shoot Me Down- Ass...Never really had a direction i think he just did this because of the whole rock and roll thing he's on right now

lollipop- Why the hell is this song 5mins long...shit!! too long..again swag or content

LaLa- I like David Banner so i like this Song...hook and beat and wayne did ok

Playing with Fire-..???????????????????????????????????????????????????? Ass

You Aint Got Nuthing- Fab and Santana killed it...wayne??? ????????? sorry Skip

Dont Get It- This Sample was used by Common on Finding Forever....it was a good ending and the talking .......whocares...i wont make it tht far into the song any way to hear it....

Nas Inks Deal With Fila

Nas has inked a one-year partnership with athletic apparel company Fila, Billboard reports.

Fila will offer reciprocal financial support for Nas' print and TV ad campaign as well as his upcoming tour in support of his untitled album, due July 15 via Def Jam. In return, the MC will wear Fila products and co-create an apparel line that draws from fashions of the late '80s.

"My best friend Will and I loved Fila," Nas tells Billboard. "It represented prestige and everything that was cool to us. When Will passed, we buried him in a black Fila sweat suit, so doing a deal with them has a lot of significance for me."

According to Fila president John Epstein, it was a natural match. "One of my executives spotted Nas shopping in our Manhattan store and struck up a conversation with him," Epstein says. "Nas isn't interested in selling out. He's interested in being true, and that fits with our brand."
