Hip-Hop Album Sales:

It’s a good week for rap music on the top 10, as Nelly takes the No. 3 spot with Brass Knuckles, selling 83,717 albums in his first week. Ne-Yo bested Nelly for the No. 2 spot, selling an impressive 250,096 copies of Year of the Gentleman. Young Jeezy is still in the top 10, as The Recession claimed the No. 6 spot, selling almost 60,000 albums this week for a total of 410,384 total copies in three weeks. DJ Khaled’s third album We Global debuted at No. 7 with 49,385 copies sold in his first week. Lil’ Wayne and Game rounded out the top 10, both selling over 40,000 copies of their respective albums. LL Cool J slipped from the No. 9 spot to the No. 32 spot, selling almost 15,000 albums this week for a total of 58,486 copies of his thirteenth album Exit 13.
